2022 Excellence Through Values (ETV) is right around the corner, and we are excited to share this trip with you. The information below will help you as you prepare to travel to Thailand. 


TRAVEL TO THAILAND
Please ensure all luggage and carry-on bags are tagged and labeled with your current contact information. A valid passport is required for all attendees, your passport must be valid for another six (6) months before you depart for your travel. If you need to obtain or renew your passport, please visit the Danaher Travel Center as soon as possible.


All associates should also register for Danaher’s Global Travel Assistance Program, SOS International. To access benefits, please visit this site and enter 11BCAM875412 (Membership Number) to sign in/sign up.


Upon arrival into Thailand, you will be required to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result taken within 72 hours of travel. As of July 1, 2022, the Thailand Pass and the $10,000 health insurance requirement is no longer required for entry.


VISAS
The majority of foreign nationals do not require visas for travel to Thailand. Exemption details per country are below. You will require a Thailand Transit Visa if you are extending travel on own and are transiting through the territory of Thailand on your way to a third country.


If you have an ordinary passport issued by one of the following countries, you can travel to Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days:

LUGGAGE INFORMATION
We advise that you check with your selected airline regarding information related to excess baggage. Depending on your airline to Phuket, you may incur additional charges for multiple bags and/or heavy luggage.


Recommendations
- Valuables and medications should always be kept in your carry-on luggage.
- We suggest you leave sufficient space in your luggage or bring an additional bag to allow for purchases made on your trip.


ARRIVAL AT AIRPORT
Upon arrival at Phuket International Airport (HKT), please look for local staff holding signs with the Excellence Through Values logo. They will assist with luggage and your ground transportation to the hotel.  


HOSPITALITY AT HOTEL
The Excellence Through Values Team will have a hospitality suite available at The Slate hotel from Monday, November 7 to Friday, November 11 to answer any questions you may have during your trip. All meals are included on an all-inclusive basis with your hotel sleeping room. The all-inclusive meal plan begins on arrival day with lunch through departure day, November 11, with breakfast. 


WHAT TO WEAR
For the Welcome and Farewell Dinners, resort attire is appropriate; Bermuda shorts, collared shirts, sun dresses, capri pants, pantsuits, or separates. No sleeveless shirts for men.


GROUP ACTIVITY
For the group activity on Tuesday, November 8, we will be traveling to Phi Phi and Bamboo Islands for exploring and snorkeling. Please be aware that we are travelling to the island via speed boat and be sure to take proper precautions and notify the staff of any concerns prior to the activity. Staff will provide Sea Band Wristbands for use. Lunch will be provided.


For this activity, casual attire is suggested; cotton shirts, active-wear, bathing suits, beach wraps, sandals and/or sneakers. Sunglasses, sunhats, and sunscreen are highly recommended.


HEALTH AND SAFETY
We recommend you contact your primary care physician or local travel clinic for vaccination. Vaccines commonly recommended for travelers to Thailand are: Covid-19, hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, cholera, yellow fever, Japanese encephalitis, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia and influenza.
Upon arrival into Thailand, you will be required to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result taken within 72 hours of travel.
Beckman Coulter associates are covered by Danaher insurance. It is highly recommended that all guests have appropriate travel insurance to cover any potential health or hospital stays.


DIETARY
Any dietary requests submitted during registration have been noted. All food items at group events will be properly labeled, but should you have a question about the contents of a particular dish, please notify the staff.
